Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between buffalo and any other type of beef?

A: While similar in appearance to other beef, a very healthy meat is produced, which is low in cholesterol and high in mineral content with less than half the total fat content of conventional lean beef.

Q: What are the best cuts of buffalo?

A: It's hard to specify one in particular, but firm favourites are brisket, mince and stew, all of which are mouth-wateringly delicious.  The fillet is very good, having a very marbled structure.

Q: What do your buffalo eat?

A: The buffalo eat just grass, with silage and hay over the winter months.  No other suppliments.

Q: What is the difference between cow milk and buffalo milk?

A: Buffalo milk has 58% more calcium, 40% more protein and 43% less cholesterol than cow’s milk.
